Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the Lingoa app or the website www.lingoaapp.com. By using Lingoa, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Lingoa is provided by Quynh Dang, Vantaa, Finland ("we"). Contact: inquiries@tastiai.com.
2. Which agreement applies
- iPhone / iPad: your license to use the app is Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms apply alongside it. If they conflict about the license itself, Apple's EULA wins.
- Android: these terms are your agreement with us. Google Play's terms also apply to your purchases.
- Privacy: see our Privacy Policy.
3. What Lingoa does, and its limits
Lingoa uses automated speech recognition and machine translation. Translations can be wrong, incomplete, or miss tone and context. Don't rely on Lingoa alone where a mistake could cause harm, for example in medical, legal, safety, or emergency situations, or when signing agreements. In those situations, use a qualified human interpreter. In an emergency, contact local emergency services directly.
4. Accounts
You can use Lingoa as a guest or sign in with Apple or Google. Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age in your country. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to purchases.
5. Free access and Lingoa Pro
- Free access: guest users get 1 hour of free access. Signed-in users get 24 hours of free access to all features, once per account. We may change or end free-access offers for new users.
- Lingoa Pro gives unlimited use. It's sold as a weekly, monthly, or yearly subscription through the App Store or Google Play at the price shown in the app before you buy.
- Automatic renewal: subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- Price changes are communicated through the App Store or Google Play as their rules require.
- Your consumer rights under the law of your country, including any right of withdrawal, are not affected by these terms.
6. Using Lingoa responsibly
Don't use Lingoa to break the law, harass anyone, or process content you have no right to. Let the people you talk with know you're using a translation app. In some places, recording or processing someone's voice requires their consent. Don't try to reverse-engineer, overload, or misuse the app or the services it connects to.
7. Your content
What you say and type is yours. You let us and our service providers process it only to provide the translation and features you use, as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Third-party services
Lingoa relies on third-party speech, translation, voice, sign-in, and payment services. Their availability can change, and features may occasionally be slower or unavailable.
9. Our rights
The Lingoa app, name, logo, and website content belong to us. These terms don't give you any rights to them beyond using the app.
10. Liability
We provide Lingoa "as is" and don't guarantee it will be error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by relying on a translation. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for intent or gross negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using Lingoa and delete your account at any time (see Delete account). We may suspend accounts that seriously break these terms. If we do, we'll tell you why where we're allowed to.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Lingoa after that, the new terms apply.
13. Law and disputes
Finnish law applies, but if you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. Please contact us first so we can try to fix the problem. Consumers in Finland can also take disputes to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi).
